Without a doubt one of our in-house favourite “gun go-to” game is House of the dead, a franchise that has been pretty dead since HOD4 12 years ago (and then an over-enthusiastic console port of the same game in ’09) – but always a fun play (Especially with unlimited credits!) – of course, as for releases, this assumes you dont include “Darts of the Dead” released last year for the Darts Live 2 machines (Sega-Sammy’s entry into the wonderful world of online coin-op dart machines) – see video below for a disgusting demonstration of that!

Now back to House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn, there has already been a dedicated website, showing us some screenshots (below) as well as the locations that commence testing phases THIS FRIDAY. (In Japan!).

As ever, we cant wait to see this on our Western shores, and will be sure to show some video footage as soon as some shows up, for now, we can sleep easy knowing that this is on the way (and have wet dreams about maybe one day playing this at home!) – If you head over to Arcade Heroes they have a more in-depth report and speculation on this cabinet, game and design, omitting their thoughts:-

I am 100% confident that this is also destined for Western shores. The cabinet uses the familiar ‘theater’ style cabinet that has been all the rage with arcade shooters in recent years, including Sega’s Transformers Human Alliance. It is hard to tell at the moment if the zombie image in the back of the cabinet is a stand-in like is found with The Walking Dead Arcade game or if they are using a pseudo-holographic effect instead.
