Bored Game Dad got in touch recently and asked to share with us his cleaned up, pruned, almost perfect 128gb RetroPie image for the Raspberry Pi, claiming it to be “the end to all 128gb images” , and that you’ll never another from this point onwards… It seems every system has its own loading image, and there seem to be no restrictions as to what you can, and cannot do….
This a clean image with an emphasis on console games. It comes with the Kintaro safe shutdown script pre-installed, bezels for every system set at 4:3. Video snaps for nearly everything except PSX and Arcade because I was running out of room. Haha. Box art for those those. SCUMMVM is set up and 1 game is on there for proof of concept. I hope everyone enjoys the image and I’ll love to hear what people think!
“I can’t recall seeing an image that is as polished and clean as this one that is centered around multiple consoles.”
We’ve been playing with this image for some part of the day today, and it works, nothing went wrong, its basic, simple, yet we can feel the undertones that everything has been done PROPERLY, there is nothing on there that wont work (we are NOT going to get into why the fuck N64 is on there! – Each to their own! – but the games are reasonable….) – all in all this is a real decent image, and if you are looking at exploring your RetroPie image building, this would be a great place to start from and add to – Heres hoping we see some more of Bored Gaming Dad in the future !
