i am aiming for the end of jan to get a 2.5TB download of this build
this is my first unofficial build for coinops
i was having trouble getting to games so i wanted to branch everything into categories
and since things were not going as planned i needed to do some cool effects with this
i have spent days building and studying and looking for code to add to this build
my plan is to zip this after i stop seeding torrents.
i plan to seed tell around jan 20th then i will be zipping this build(once completed) and try and get a copy of this online for everyone to enjoy
but please do tell me what you think of this so far
i have majority of the work done now but i need to do the fine tuning and removing duplicate copies and also adding in some artwork as well, some of these games will not have any artwork but i will do what i can to give this a nice polish in the end

i am not done yet!
it will be 2.5-3TB build once completed!
maybe i could make a lite version for the time being and email you a copy!
but the thing is it would be nothing but pretty much a shell
right now i am in the middle of reviewing thousands of games and removing duplicate copies and building collections
i am not the best with photoshop so game art might be limited but i will do the best i can to make this look as polished as possible in the next 3-4 weeks
i am seeding torrents my plan is to keep them seeding tell around jan 20th then delete the torrents freeing up space and creating a zip file for my build
do you know what i should name my creation?

i can e-mail you some xml files and show you how i structured them!
that was awful trying to get these put together!
i nearly lost all progress this morning after the effect was disabled by coinops
for some reason when the emu was sitting idol for a few min the lower effect was not working
took me hours to try and figure out what was wrong!
but this is the thing i took script from other xml files and rewrote the code
i now have the ability to dual menu’s and effect that take the words off the screen so you can enjoy the art
here is an update, i replaced the nintendo video with new one
i found a couple of nes commercials on youtube cut them down to size and added in fitting music
also started to build categories!
honestly i’m not even a programmer i am trying to track down code online and trying to build the perfect coinops distro from it! and so far i am super impressed i am accomplishing things i never even expected
like that lowing menu effect off the screen is Dope!
but i am super glad you like what i have been working on!
i have many more hours to go!

FYI this took my many hours(days) of hard work to configure these!
i honestly believe this will be the greatest build on coinops to date!

i am aiming to upload a 3TB build in the near future after i get 100% of the game art in order!
i currently have around 15,000 games and i need to do reviews to see if everything is working correctly and get all my game art and game videos in order

this is my first build and i didn’t even know what coinops was nov 1st
honestly finding game art is mental lol
i am doing hundreds of dreamcast games right now and its driving me up the wall i might need a month now just to find game art
i have around 15,000 games in this current build
i got halo master chef edition included in this and a bunch of cool doom mods
i also need to configure joytokey correctly but it doesn’t seem to be saving my settings for some reason, it works but the thing is it won’t switch emu’s on its own that i need to solve

so i added up the total number of games and this number will change slightly over the next few days and most likely increase but as it currently stand at over 15,229 game (i still need to track down duplacates and remove these but i am adding more xbox360 titles and some more PC games and i need to finish off the FF and PoP collections so these games are still getting added

some of the things you see if found on retrofe(i only know about that site because i studied the xml script)

i invested hours of blood sweat and tears on the hard works of others :'( and that i apologize for
i am only happy i have find things to helps me make something this amazing!
i am very excited to share my build with the world for others to enjoy
but i need to get a stupid amount of game logo’s and covers and video files in order!
i would honestly love to pass my project onto somebody else at this point in time but i need to finish what i started
i almost feel like i opened a big can of worms lol

1. first upload will be Arcade section and base files emulator files
2. second upload will be Atari section
3. third upload will be computers section
4. fourth upload will be consoles section
5. fifth upload will be Nintendo section
6. sixth upload will be Sega section
7. seventh and final upload will be Sony and all the sub files that fallow
i honestly do not have a better way of doing this since it is taking me ages to get all game art and video files in order
in the end i hope you guys at arcade punks can base all files together in a 3TB file for me
this way also people can message me and tell me if i need to correct anything at all on this project
i believe this should be named the collection series
due to the way i have orginized everything into catigories
this is a massive project
once i have everything online if someone could also make a intro video for this collection that would be awesome
but only after everything is complete, i have no idea how to make videos besides what i can piece together using the old windows movie make

fyi, main folder in collection needs to be replaced, it is setup for only 9 menus in this current setup
honestly inspect and backup files before you drag and drop, this will also alter a few things on coinops

here is an update on my teknoparrot collection
i replaced and compressed 2.16GB of video files to 295MB made 99% of the videos a standard 1:00 min length
resized and replaced all images to fit correctly in a standard jpg format also removed 3 troublesome roms that are not compatible with AMD(this way no user is left with problems with this build)
i will soon do an upload maybe at the end of jan or first week of feb
the only cover images i need to do for my Arcade Collection now is for Zinc i have around 55 images that need replacing and resizing

Zinc is around 75% complete
the reason i need to upload a little bit longer than expected i need to seed torrents longer before deleting them! and this will also give me more time to work on other parts of this coinops build to be able to release this stuff in a more timely matter!

if anyone want to give my build a go before i have everything ready you will simply need to add roms to it back i have gave the basic of everything its a the download is 11GB after you up zip its over 20GB i accidentally forgot to add the sega 32x so that is a separate download just replace the x32 folder!
i encluded the emulators i used but sadly no overlays or else the download would of been allot bigger!
my upload rates are around 700kbs so when i do the upload it will take weeks maybe a month

i did a repack on that file my mega zip file!
its a repack i realized i missed a couple of emulators and needed to remove some useless emulators, i also missed some folders under collections
i gave some basic instruction and also included some tools for roms that might be useful

i was able to reduce the size of the download by 1.1GB
over the next few months i will be able to start providing more
but i stopped on my current build and i am focusing on getting the rest of the roms i need to finsh the collections
i think if you try this build i have made out you will find it to be more satisfying than next or next 2 or retro arcade or what ever! it took me about 4-6 weeks to design this and get it working correctly!
tweaking them xml script took me weeks! and learning this was not easy!
i didn’t know about coinops was nov 1st yet in a little more then 2 months i managed to learn about this entire system and made it over 300% better
lol forget to delete a hacked copy of SMB2 its under nes!(i am not willing to do a repack at this moment it in time its avg of 4-5 hours an upload onto mega!) i think its funny but you might find it offensive LMAO!!!!
if you try this out! please tell me what you think!
i only hope everyone can enjoy some of my work!
if anyone i can send the roms i have to and maybe you can help me track down some cover art video files and logo’s that would be awesome since i am not getting a dime for any of this and honestly am not looking to earn a dime! only looking to build something for everyone to enjoy!
honestly i am a hard worker! many people have told me this!
i simply have not been working and i honestly like to treat this like a job! give me a sense of responciblity and honor!
but if someone wants to help me! tell me how i can send GB’s of roms i don’t have artwork for and help me complete this build or else i might be working on this tell 2023 or 2024…. well maybe not that long but for at least for 6 months!

First thank you for your effort and time,it looks very nice if you start coinops for the first time !
Your first 190122 pack had weird behaviors on a offline w7 i5 system,so i tried your repack from 20 jan,the atari 800xl if i try to start a game then screen goes black and goes back to game collection.
I have tried to switch the atarixl roms to another roms directory,it doesnt matter,maybe a cfg file fix needed?
Have you tried it on another pc to test the atari 800xl?
The nes sm game works well,and also manual adding the hacks and normal nes with art,logo/mp4 works !
Oohyea… sega model 2 has 3 roms onboard already (first pack and on repack)

the atari 800 files should load up retroarch
maybe try this
make a new “ATARI 800XL.conf” file
executable = emulators\Retroarch-ATARI 800XL\Retroarch.exe
arguments = -L “cores\atari800_libretro.dll” “%ITEM_FILEPATH%”
get a new copy of retroarch
then unzip to emulators\Retroarch-ATARI 800XL
copy the core file “atari800_libretro.dll” to the new core directory
honestly i have had conflict with retroach this is why i am using more than 1 retroarch directory!
if this does not fix the problem email the log from the email above!
to be honest i had no idea what i started!
but i needed to make coinops a little bit better i should of left it alone and never open this can of worms lol
how would you rate my project btw?
once we figure out this out issue i will repack the files once more!
this is more or less only a demo of my work
once i have my collection and artwork completed i will be doing a dump on arcadepunks over the next few months
i am only taking a break for a few days working once i complete the rest of my downloads i will go back at this 150% but this is allot of energy for no pay lol

Here back again,
Tried your tips about to add make an new conf file,done,then a fresh retroarch i believe if retroarch 080122 zip,extract to a new atari800xl dir,grabbed the ra core files zip from libretto,copied the dll.
Run coinops–>atari–>pop screen like this 
read –>
Grabbed an old amd triple core with 8gb and 2016 w10 6gb nvidia,vc redist 2015,your repack from 200122 works out of the box,also the same shit as above happens !
On the www enough nfo about it to find,its about the bios……delete atari cfg,add bios to system dir ra,run again.
Is this the solution?

yeah that is the trouble we don’t all work off the same hardware!
honestly find a new emulator that works for you
try and run it off mame?
try this command!
ATARI 800XL.conf
executable = emulators\MAME\mame64.exe
arguments = “%ITEM_NAME%”
if mame cant run it look online for other emulators and let me know what works!
if i need to make a set of intel configs and a list of AMD config that would be a good thing to have!
