All packs shared on Arcade Punks have been re-packed for archive purposes (i.e. for uploading securely and without issue/error to usenet/seedboxes) you may need to first EXTRACT the packs - the Windows utility called WINRAR was used for this with RAR4 Compression, some older unzip/unextract programs may not support RAR4, recommend using WINRAR ( http://www.rarlabs.com )
Here Pipmik shows how to copy downloaded packs over to your CoinOps Next 2 Install.
Great Stuff!
Looks easy, but has not worked for me for CoinOPS Next 2. Have tried NES, Atari 7800, and Vectrex (All Trusted Official packs) and the previews display, but when selecting a game, it goes to a black screen for a while, then goes back to CoinOPS without successfully running. Have any ideas? Trying to run directly from Retroarch is similar...no error, but nothing boots up.
Hello, I appreciate the clear instructions on how to add packs to CoinOPS Next 2 Arcade(Standalone)
I followed your instructions to add the Pacman Pack and I now see the Pacman options in the Arcade
tab but having problems loading the games. I press the "A" button to select the game and the screen
goes blank as if it is loading and then just goes back to the demo screen with Pacman running on the
arcade machine. I don't understand the step about deleting all these avi files in the video folder. I tried
it and the video for the pacman demo on the arcade machine is gone and all I get is a CoinOP screen.
Should I be deleting those 7 avi files mentioned in the video folder as outlined in the readme file?
