All packs shared on Arcade Punks have been re-packed for archive purposes (i.e. for uploading securely and without issue/error to usenet/seedboxes) you may need to first EXTRACT the packs – the Windows utility called WINRAR was used for this with RAR4 Compression, some older unzip/unextract programs may not support RAR4, recommend using WINRAR ( http://www.rarlabs.com )

Here Pipmik shows how to copy downloaded packs over to your CoinOps Next 2 Install.

Great Stuff!

Looks easy, but has not worked for me for CoinOPS Next 2. Have tried NES, Atari 7800, and Vectrex (All Trusted Official packs) and the previews display, but when selecting a game, it goes to a black screen for a while, then goes back to CoinOPS without successfully running. Have any ideas? Trying to run directly from Retroarch is similar…no error, but nothing boots up.

CoinOPS Standalone does not work/run here with the posted console packs. I have been told to go to the source to get working ones.

the coinops next 2 console packs are on this site too 🙂 and work perfectly – the “go to source” thing is a control issue unfortunately …

@loxley200 – which addon pack are you trying? Also, have you installed the required DirectX and vc_redist?

Hello, I appreciate the clear instructions on how to add packs to CoinOPS Next 2 Arcade(Standalone)
I followed your instructions to add the Pacman Pack and I now see the Pacman options in the Arcade
tab but having problems loading the games. I press the “A” button to select the game and the screen
goes blank as if it is loading and then just goes back to the demo screen with Pacman running on the
arcade machine. I don’t understand the step about deleting all these avi files in the video folder. I tried
it and the video for the pacman demo on the arcade machine is gone and all I get is a CoinOP screen.
Should I be deleting those 7 avi files mentioned in the video folder as outlined in the readme file?

The PS3 trusted pack is not in RAR format. How do I use the format in the download?

I have the same problem as mentioned by @sow_gin , not a single TRUSTED pack is working for me.
Here’s the list of what I have installed;

CoinOPS Next 2 (Standalone)

CoinOPS Next 2 (Standalone) R2

CoinOPS Next 2 (Standalone) R3

CoinOPS Next 2 (Standalone) R4

CoinOPS Next 2 – Model 2 Official Addon Pack (MeanGreene13)

CoinOPS Next 2 – Sega Model 2 Official TRUSTED Pack – Update #1 Multiplayer on 1PC

CoinOPS Next 2 – Model 3 Official Addon Pack (MeanGreene13)

Installed in that order.

I can only play Daytona 2/3/4 players, but nothing else.

Did you figure out the problem? I have the same issue. Only MAME games are working. None of the console games are working.
