Hi,
Totally new to CoinOps, discovered by browsing the web to find a front-end for my future cab. My cab will be builded around a PC (i5 + 750ti), with arcade sticks/buttons via USB card.
I can’t see the differences between the versions of CoinOps : Arcadia, Diamond, Next. It is said that Next and Next 2 are not best suited for arcade cab, when Arcadia and Diamond are, but nothing really say why.
The builds seems to be pre-configurated for XBox controller, is it the problem with arcade cabs ?
May be it is for the systems supported. In addition to the classic MAME games, I’d like to have Neo Geo, Amiga + CD-32, Naomi, Lindbergh, Taito type X games. No Playstation, no Wii.
What will be the best build for that type of use ?

RETRO ARCADE 2 – current latest one designed for cabs…

NO, you simply reconfigure the controllers – i cant recall if there is controller configs in all the setup and config folders – knowing the CoinOps team, there probably is – Im away from HQ right now or I would look

Add-ons for said front end (RA2)
Also worth checking out the Hyperspin Attraction build too …. as it sounds like you would go with quality over quantity and add your own stuff….

Thanks for your answer.
I’ill have a run with RA2, then.
So far, I installed Next (the first), hope the packs can be used with RA2 too. Otherwise, the Next install seems to do the job, if I can get rid of the too numerous categories I don’t need (classic by brand), plus resolve the black screens with certain Type X games.

Well, it’s still a bit confusing for me.
NEXT and RA2 seems to works in fact in the same way.
I have the same categories and can’t find how to suppress them. In RA2, there are 9 exe to present less games (only arcade, with console, 150 bests, 300 bests, …) Does it means that we cannot chose what categories are displayed with the config files ? Suppress the dirs (Konami, Data East, …) from collection don’t works. In what file can I keep only the categories that I want ?
