Hi all,

Im using Arcade retro coinops on a minipc in a bartop cabinet ive built purely for Neo Geo

After some playing around, i have the artwork, previews etc everything working well as an arcade

But how do i shutdown windows 10 safely, when i exit coinops (Same time auto)

eg: I had hyperspin some time ago, there was a simple option in the setup menu (check box – shutdown pc on exit)

Thats exactly how i want to, so no mouse or keyboard needed. A simple press of ESC and it would as per normal exit to windows 10, then continue to shutdown

Thanks in advance

p.s. No wired special buttons wanted as ive made the arcade look as original as possible all around to a neo geo

There is a post few days ago where the guy says he managed to make it works, but don’t tell us how. I asked, but no answer 🙁

I’ve not yet finished the software part of my cab (Windows tuning), maybe a .bat at start could do the job, launching COinOPS and shutdown the system when RetroFE quits (“shutdown /s” or may be “/f” to force remaining app to stop), but it will prevent us to go easily in Windows to do maintenance (add games, change params, …)

oh thats weird there was no reply, i was hoping for some simple solution or thought it would have been done by others with retro arcades. Maybe coinops is for those focused more with consoles.

well hopefully someone has a seamless solution one day

I’ve seen that there is a shutdown script. 2 choices, Windows or PC. May be the PC one turn the PC off.

Don’t know when and where it can been called, but could be the asnwer for you.

As for me, I’ll probably go for the button solution, telling Windows to shutdown on power button.
