Wii games run very slow on CoinOps next2. Can you help?
In my opinion it is not a pc configuration issue since pc features are very good.
In addition Wii games run good on 400gb CoinOps Ultimate … the same games on the same pc…
I also compare the Dolphin setup of the two Coinops to find differences but they seems to have the same setup.
Someone can help to solve?

thanks for your reply.
I tried to change DX11 in video plugin for Dorlphin and also change video setting into Retroarch but nothing impoves.
I do not understand the reason why if I open the Wii game directly through the DolphinEmulatorPortable.exe (exe file into the folder Emulators Official\DolphinX) the game run fine , whereas if I launch the game through the CoinOps it starts very very slow since from the first screen.
I am going crazy…

I am continuing to try solving this issue with Nintendo Wii games … but I am not solving… could please someone explain this:
– opening the games directly through DolphinEmulatorPortable.exe (–> folder CoinOPS Next 2 Standalone\Emulators Official\DolphinX) all works fine
– opening the same Wii games into Coinops, the game runs slow and the controller is not recognized…
Any solution?

The Wii emulator used by CoinOPS Next 2 is RetroArch with the Dolphin core, which is set to run Wii games at a x2 resolution. The DolphinEmulatorPortable.exe included defaults to x1 resolution, which might be why there is a difference in speed.
While running the game from CoinOPS, press both analog joysticks down (the click button, not the direction) to get to the RetroArch menu and navigate down to and select “Options”. Change the “EFB Scaling” to x1 and return to the game. You might have to exit the emulator and restart the game for the resolution change to take effect.
The joystick is also mapped differently between the two emulators, mostly with the A and B buttons switched. You can change the controller mapping from within the RetroArch menu as well.
Lastly, what resolution is you monitor? An UltaHD (4K) monitor or TV can cause all kinds of headaches with a CoinOPS build.

I just fixed this problem on my install. So it seemsCoinOps is set by default to run Wii games using the Dolphin libretro core in RetroArch, which is much much slower than Dolphin portable. If you go to the launchers.windows folder in your CoinOps folder, you can copy the text from inside the “Wii Dolphin Official SUB” file to the “Wii Official” file and that that will force Wii games to launch using Dolphin portable
