arcade controls in arcade cabinet

i have the 2tb image connected to an Asus Prime Z270-P with i5 6500 cpu, 32gb ram an ATI R7 250 1gb graphics card and running really well
i have 1 problem, im running it via a J-Pac pre 2015 (2009) and cant get the controls to work, i am able to play with a ps3 controller just fine but this negates the cabinet setup with has 2 arcade sticks and 3 buttons each player plus P1 and P2 buttons.
i am not able to use the shift function as this J-Pac doesn’t have it.
what options do i have or do i have to shell out for another interface for the jamma connector.
