Hi. Honesty upfront I have very little knowledge how all these system work. Im looking for help in building and setting up a PC system for an existing cabinet that is running retro and everything up to dreamcast and PS1 on a Pi400 keyboard version
I have Sinden light guns but no ability to use them or no games on there.
I would like to upgrade to a pc system so I can run more modern games ( mainly the light gun games ) on the arcade cabinet.
Im electrically minded so not totally clueless. If this is a package someone is willing to take on that is fine if that is an option ?
Sorry if this is in the wrong section. Please direct me otherwise
Thanks again

In a nutshell…
- Grab yourself a used gaming PC (from Amazon?)
- Make sure you have a minimum 1tb SSD Drive
- Download a decent Batocera Build (such as this one for 1tb SSD)
- Write it to the SSD
- Boot up and play !!
You can get a smaller drive if you get a smaller batocera image – otherwise there are loads of other options for a PC front end (see PC Front Ends menu at the top) most you need Windows installed then you add them to that…
Does this help?

Thank you
I have checked out the link. looks great and hopefully not difficult. Am I best following his computer set up or is there another related brand / model I can look for ? I don’t really want to be building a pc.
I heard people talking of hyperspin and technoparrot for light gun games etc. Is this that?
Im guessing all the types of games im after are in his package. ?
Can my cabinet buttons and joysticks be configured to operate the system?
I do have a trackball fitted too or do need to have a keyboard handy and a mouse?
Sorry for what may seen like obvious answers to most people

Tecnoparrot is an emulator contained in the front end (front end is hyperspin/coinops/batocera/ etc….)

A “loaded” build will contain loads of games, check the preview videos !
