First off, the other 2 Sega RingEdge games work without issue, just Dead or Alive 5 that I can’t get to load.  Whilst with the previous thread the solution was to connect an actual controller even that doesn’t work with this game.  The game is only getting as far as the bezel showing with a black inner screen, no error or info on the screen to indicate anything, then just resets to the game selection wheel.

Nothing in the info I can see than mentions issues with Sega RingEdge or this game in particular so I’m at a bit of a loss.  Maybe there is something in that games settings that might need changing that could help?, might have a look at the settings tomorrow after work.

That game can be a little demanding so maybe it’s specs related. You can also try running it (DOA5A.exe in game folder) in Win 8 or 7 compatibility mode just to test if it works for you that way.

Thanks for your reply Enkak, though I apologize for my delay in responding due to work commitments.

So I tried what you suggested and non of that worked unfortunately.  Beyond it being like you feel it might be, possible spec related, I’m somewhat stumped on the solution for this game though I wont give up just yet.  But if it was spec related alone, would it not simply run with poor but with poor frame rates instead?.

That aside I’ve also tried it on my daughters old laptop, that being a 6th gen Intel I3 processor with a dedicated Geforce graphics card and whilst slightly different issues it still wont run on that either.  Though I’m trying to update what I can on that laptop to try again and see what happens. Though I’m slightly of the feeling that it might be an unknown file requirement issue, be it graphics or something else.  I will keep this thread updated after I carry out further testing.  But if that still doesn’t work on the laptop I’ll try again in the week on the other desktop once I unpack it.
