Quote from dragonpowers on November 28, 2019, 2:40 pmHi, I understand that the way to place the different romsets is following this way: Arcade folder/Systems roms/8TB+ Drive/"Each carpet with each system-(Ex. Master system, Megadrive, etc…)"
Is it correct?
Thanks
Correct! You can also look at each directory in Rocketlauncher per system if there's confusion on where the Rom File and folder should be setup. See illustration

Quote from taflad on November 28, 2019, 3:46 pmHi,
Just checking so as I know my extract process didnt mess up…Does the GOG folder only contain games beginning with "A"? I've extracted them and thats all I have in mine.
Thanks
It appears that way. Mine is the same thing. As soon as I'm done with Rom 2 which appears to be the largest, I'll see if it's part of the rom set.

Thanks very much! I was worried grabit had missed something! If you have access to the torrent, you shuld be able to download it and open the folder. That will show you everything I believe. I can't get torrents unfortunately

Gday guys just wondering if someone can lend some advice ? , So ive downloaded everything and added Rom 1 pack into the System rom folder so its D:Arcade>Systemroms>8tb drive>Gog games or Big fish , But when i load hyper-spin and try either big fish or gog i get the error that the roms cant be found.
Things ive tried – Adding a new path in rocketlauncher in the gog and big fish page to the roms
-Â Re downloading and unpacking the Base Rar
– Launching the game outside of hyperspin ( Works and runs fine )

Hi Jay,
you got it right with D:ARCADE/SYSTEMROMS/8TB a lot of these roms are incomplete that was mentioned at the beginning .I'am pretty new to this myself have you tried the very first gog game insane that worked for me most of the others i think are missing exe files and are part of the project for us as a community to build .You will have better luck with Rom pack 2 make sure you you extract it to it's folder D:ARCADE/SYSTEMROMS/8TB + Hope this helps works for me also i would like to add i think a lot of the games are connected to other packs witch are designated to other drive paths we need to wait and see what follows.

Quote from jay on December 5, 2019, 11:21 amYeah lets hope the rest of the packs arent a disaster aswell
It was bad on my part releasing the messed up pack first, the idea being that people would get pro-active in these very forums rather than complain ?
Heres to hope ?

Hi,
Thisâll be my first attempt at game emulation since a MAME install in the early 2000âs, and I have whatâs probably a completely noob question, so apologies in advance… When decompressing the ROMs into the appropriate folders, should each individual file also be decompressed or should I be leaving them archived? For example in the Bally Astrocade/roms folder is it best practice to have â280 Zzzap+Dodgem (USA).binâ or â280 Zzzap+Dodgem (USA).7zâ? Iâve tried forum searching both here and Reddit (and a few other places) and canât find a definitive answer.
Thanks!

if you rename the folder for each game under the directory with the name thats in the database for that game the big fish games will all work, but youll have to open the bigfishgames.xml with an editor to get the correct names that each game must use. for an example <9 – The Dark Side of Notre Dame> Game name <9 – The Dark Side Of Notre Dame Collectors Edition>Folder name the game database will be found under ".ArcadeRocketLauncherRocketLauncherUIDatabasesBig Fish Games\" both should be the same name(Folder should match the game name) <9 – The Dark Side of Notre Dame> Game name = <9 – The Dark Side of Notre Dame>Folder. you must do that for each folder in that directory.

001-Base = 13.8 Gb
002-Emulators = 16.5 Gb
003-media = 302.1 Gb
004-Roms-001 = 75,9 Gb
004-Roms-002 = 844.7 Gb
004-Roms-003 = 52.7 Gb
004-Roms-004 = 114.2 Gb
004-Roms-005 = 239.1 Gb

Quote from elmastero1 on December 8, 2019, 5:56 pmCan someone post a pic of where all the files are suppose to go. I extracted each file to the base of my hard drive. One of the rom folders extracted a ton of game folders at the base of the drive, rather than in the Arcade folder. Is that right? It seems odd. Thanks.
Sorry but you need to read the instructions each download pack has it spelled out, so yes you have them all in the wrong place.
System roms folders is where those rompacks go

Sorry, I did not notice. I'm just used to extracting files to the base of the hard drive. I read the initial instructions but did not notice if each folder contained it's own set of instructions. I'll definitely try it when I get home. Thanks for the information. I totally appreciate it.

Thanks insomnia83, that last pic you posted helped me figure out where all of my folders should go. It seems that when I extracted the rom files into the base of the D drive, it extracted all of the folders there. Instead, I was suppose to extract the rom folders to D:ArcadeSystem roms . Thanks again.
