PS2 Controller Issue

Hi All,
I'm fairly new at this, but am struggling to get my Xbox Elite controller to work with the PS2 Emulator. Any idea why this wouldn't work? All of the other emulators seem to work fine "out of the box" with the Xbox controller.
Any help or pointing in a direction would be much appreciated.
