Here's some clarity on some adjustments.

12-15

Note, if you're trying to play other regions or versions of the rom, this comes locked to the Parent. You have to unlock each to open other options. Open HyperHQ / Wheel Settings Tab/ Select the system from the drop down/ Go to "Navigation/Themes"/ Uncheck all the Wheel Filters.

11-30

You can download the rom files separately. Just remember to look at the settings. Example: Sega Saturn works with cue/bin. I had to update my old rom list with the updates.

The naming of the files must match. In some cases a simple rename can be done of the zip/rar/etc. Just remember it still may not run if the rom file itself isn't name properly in the container.

11-28

  • Updated Windows 10 users (as mentioned in the instructions) will have to add the updated Hyperspin files from the Hyperspin website.
  • CONTROLLER: This is next you need to turn on. In the arcade folder go to Tools and then JoyToKey 5.8.1 initiate the JoyToKey. You can create a startup for the file in windows. Just google that.
  • Daemon Tools Lite: The version that was provided did not work with my updated win 10 os. You'll have to find and download Daemon Tools Lite 10.2. Anything beyond doesn't work.
  • Bezels: Bezels will not work out of the gate. To fix this:
    • Open Rocketlauncher (located in the arcade folder)
    • select GLOBAL
    • Find the System cog/box/tab
    • Look for the Main Settings tab
    • under "Desktop" Change "Suspend Frontend" Switch this to "true".
  • MAME EMU: The emulator used is marked .0179. If you download the update ROM Packs, don't forget you'll need to replace your MAME to match the files as well.

More to come…

Hello,

I am uncertain if this is the correct part of the forum for the question.

Since this is an absolute beast with many of the games I won't play more than once. Is there an easy way to clean the build of single games, and even systems?

This will maybe even make it fit on my designated 6TB drive.

Even if there is no easy way, is there ANY way of deleting a game and have it clean up after itself (mediafiles, relations, pictures and such).

Thank in advance

You can kinda accomplish this by using HyperHQ. The version included will not work on windows 10. You need to update that to 1.5.1.0 as well. If you dont know where to find this, I can upload to google drive and paste a link if needed. I'll post a screenshot of the location in HyperHQ, to remove wheel and media.

Update: I just removed a couple hundred wheels. I can verify that the original way of removing wheels, works. Just do like I said above. Be pre warned, it took me 2 hours to remove it all. Also I can help in here, any way I can, I have 24tb of games. 85 of those systems are complete USA sets, for hyperspin databases.

Thanks, Sandman! This has been one of the things on my mind since I started downloading. I'm going to put the whole thing in an A1U cab, so obviously I have no use for all the computer systems as well as several other systems that I really don't think I'd ever end up playing lol!

I think they wanted to remove the wheel, games, and game media in one swoop to save on storage space. HyperHQ just removes the wheel from the systems XML, none of the games, game data, or game media will be removed by HyperHQ.

To answer the original question, no, there is no automated way to do what you are looking for, but the folders are structured so that you can easily kill an entire system by deleting the offending system from x:ArcadeMedia as well as x:ArcadeSystem roms. If you want to delete specific ROM's from one system, then you'd have to delete that specific ROM's media from the correlated folder.

I wouldn't bother to delete the emulator for that system as you might break another system as some emulators can do multiple systems.

or read the article it links to it both on the Hyperspin forum and a direct link lol

NOTE3– Its also worth noting that Windows 10 did an update that stopped Hyperspin from working, so if nothing happens then you will need to download THIS (if you are a member of the Hyperspin Forums) or THIS (if not)  and overwrite the files inside D:Arcade

Remember using HyperHQ does NOT delete the ROMs – SO BE SURE TO GO IN AND DELETE THE ROMS MANUALLY!

Thank you all for all your input. I just wanted to get a bit of a feel for this before starting unpacking and fiddling around.

Also I know I found all the instreuctions to get started with this massive images somewhere on the this site. But I can't find it again. I am still pretty new to the site and emulation in general. Does anyone have the specific link to the instructions for this image?

Thanks again.

Hi, I'm new on the forum for this build. I am just wondering can i spread the roms over different drives then point HyperSpin to the other drives directory? I have 2 x 4TB drives and would be great if I could.  I think i remember being able to do it in HyperSpin/RocketLauncher but its been awhile since I've messed with HyperSpin. Thanks

Hi All,

So we have had a good few systems downloaded now, but I have noticed that some do not seem to have all of the games RocketLauncher says they should. I did an system audit on PC games in RLUI and it showed it is supposed to have 112 games. Pack 8 had the PC games included, but there were only 15 games downloaded. Nintendo Gamecube is the same, with 406 games downloaded but RLUI audit is looking for 609. I'm just wondering if these will be included in future packs?  Iknow the next few should be huge, with Sony PS1/PS2 etc

I just used Hyperspin HQ and turned on the Joypad in the controllers tab. This seems better than using Joy2key unless I am missing something.

I have a couple of questions, do i need to setup Joy2key? (Because i have a Xbox 360 controller),and if so how because don't know how exactly, i don't want to mess up stuff.

And can i already just go ahead en play games from the systems that are already downloaded, or do i just have to wait till all the rom packs are downloaded, and then start tweaking?

Sorry for the question, maybe you already answer to this: I serch, but I didn't find any solution in the forum.

I downloaded the base pack but when I tried to open mame gamee, I obtain anly a black screen then returning to hyperspin.

This is very strange, because other emulators, like psp, or ps2 much more hardware demanding, are working. So the question is, I'm the only one ehich as Mame not working?

Is there a solution to make it working?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

About rom folders…..

Do ALL the roms have to be on ArcadeSystem roms8TB+Drive OR some in there AND some in ArcadeSystem roms ???

Because on the packs descriptions' says this:

FINALLY, FOR THIS PACK, EXTRACT 004-ROMS (named system roms) into THE ROOT OF THE ARCADE FOLDER IN ROOT OF DRIVE DIn this instance there should now be a folder called System roms8TB+ DriveBig Fish Games and System roms\8TB+ DriveGog Games inside the Arcade folder.

FOR THIS PACK, EXTRACT into THE ROOT OF THE ARCADE FOLDER IN ROOT OF DRIVE D In this instance there should now be a folder called System romsAtari ST (and so on)

Do some Systems have to be inside  System roms but others inside System roms8TB+ Drive ?? If so…. what are the Systems that have to be inside the 8TB+ Drive folder??

Thank you!!

Yes, roms will live in both directories. You literally answered your own question. Put the roms where it says to put them.

Which version of Windows 10 is the most stable installation of this hyperspin?
I say it because I have the 1909 version and I have problems with the Nesicalive system, and I think it's because of the windows 10 version
Is 1803 better possible?
Has anyone worked well nesicalive or Taitotypex without touching anything?
