Hey there punks, an older retro gamer here, just getting in to the whole retropi thing.  I've got high aspirations–already in the process of cobbling together an arcade stick that I'll be building my Pi in to.  Pretty solid with the hardware, but I'm still woefully green with the software side of the equation..

I have next to no experience when it comes to my Pi, I only just slapped it together and unpacked a front end from this site this past weekend.  I don't have any previous Linux experience, either.  So I hope you'll bear with me.

I'll try to look up answers to my questions, since most of them have probably been asked already.  But if there's any good total newbie resource guides on here for the basics of editing and adding/removing content from image files, I'd appreciate a nudge in the right direction!
