It been a long time since I posted on a forum like this. Like all the other middle aged nearing senior age men/women on here I am just trying to re-live those early joys of playing on my coleco telstar (still have it), atari vcs, vic 20, and c64 (the addiction never stopped), went to college (amiga) studied art & design, worked at a major game publisher as a producer / designer (sega, 3do, windows) and have seen and purchased / owned so many generations of consoles I've lost count and now looking towards retirement in the next 3 to 5 years or so. I am currently enjoying retro gaming on an upgraded dreamcade replay (added storage, updated os) — yeah yeah I know most people hate it, but I'm easy to please when it comes to retro games that originally ran on minimal graphics and processing power.
I have a retro-bit retrocade system as well (currenly have few portable systems, wii, ps2, ps3, ps4, xbox1 connected as well). I recently got an old dell dimension that I'm going to upgrade with win10, an older geforce card, and an ssd. Really interested in the coinops build (but want to know what the min. specs are for that) and am going to also experiment with Batocera as well. I do library work and try to get the kids into retro games to balance their current obsession with roblox. I eventually want to teach them how to build / rebuild their own pcs, laptops as most in the community I serve can't afford them.
Cheers! Thanks for being here.
