Hi guys,
been here a few weeks now so thought i'dbetter say hello ?
I've been on the scnewith gaming since the good 'ole Amiga days, when a friend and I started trading games, we had various BBS's and ran and contributed to local gaming clubs (copy parties). My home was a hub every weekend for people to get all the latest games and apps – those were the golden age of being an elite trader, if you weren't there, you missed one of the best times ever! Especially when modens went up from 28k to 56k lol
Anyway, nowadays I have my own computer business here in Manchester, and I still love the good ole' days, so have a great collection of old Roms and emulators, this month I wanted to bring it up to date and the best site for that has now gone, as we all know. So I found myslef here, and I am glad I did ?
I don't have time to build the amazing ROM Packs you guys do, mine are very basic but just for me and friends, but now I see a whole new world opening up with RetroPie-PC – that front end kicks ass, and it's great to see so many working on it.
With my knowledge of PC's, Windows and gaming, if I see any threads I can help out on I will of course offer my help and advice – I always have refurb systems and hardware available, so if you're local and in need of anything, feel free to give me a shout, if I can help, I will.
Thats all for now guys, thanks for building this great community, and let's look forward to years of emulation and collecting ? For all you young 'uns, sorry to say but you have missed the golden age of Computer Gaming, but you are now seeing a new dawn, with retro gaming looking to become bigger than ever, it's great you can see the games WE (older ones) grew up with ?
Have a great weekend guys & dolls
Steve

Hi Buddy,
sorry for the late reply – yeah we have chatted a few times now lol
I had a shop in central Manchester but closed that down and went mobile, best thing I've ever done – makes it much easier for customers if I go out to them.
I miss the old days of the Amiga trading tbh, all the Bulletin Boards and computer clubs, they were very happy days ?
