I am trying to do the same. Do you mean delete the rom, video and logo? Will the same method work for MAME that will work for PC-engine or NES? There are a lot of MAME games I would like to delete from my Coinops Next 2 builld. I would also like to delete some entries on the COINOPS NEXT 2 wheel specifically Nintendo Game and Watch. How do I delete the entry? Thank you so much for your help.

The systems to display are in the text files “collections/Main/playlists”. Edit the text files and delete the systems you don’t want. You can delete the system you don’t want in the “collections” folder to save space, but you may want to keep them if you change your mind later to save time downloading them again. If you add more systems yourself then the names MUST be EXACTLY as the collection folder filename or it will not work. It is VERY fussy on filenames. I’ve found a simple filename error caused me a lot of problems when adding my own systems. The “log.txt” in the main CoinOPS folder can help a lot if you are getting problems with a system or games not running when they should
To choose what games to play or not, choose the system you want to play then from the wheel press “I” on the keyboard to add that game to your playlist or press “O” on the keyboard to delete that game from your playlist. It does not delete the game, just adds/deletes to your playlist. The next time you want to play that system, you will see ONLY the games you added in your playlist
CoinOPS Next and CoinOPS Next 2 are both based on RetroFE and which uses simple text files to control RetroFE and almost everything is changeable. The two important files are “controls.conf” and “settings.conf” in the main CoinOPS folder. These tell RetroFE what keys/joypad buttons do what and also what settings change how RetroFE works. Keep backups if you change these as it can cause RetroFE/CoinOPs Next to not run if its wrong
