It appears a minor issue has slipped through our quality control process in that due to the mame update many of the oldschool 360 degree wheel type games have incorrect sensitivity settings.
What does this mean?
Games like Pole Position, Outrun and many others have sensitivity set TOO LOW and very difficult to play with an XBOX (360/One) or similar controller.
@ MyRetrozz we strive for perfection and EVERY game should be playable with keyboard or (practically any) controller required.
As an example.. load Pole Position (any variant) press TAB, go to:
Dial Sensitivity is set to 1, it should be 4 <- this value from our play testing seems to be perfect balance for XBOX controller.
This is one example.. Buggy Boy same area, but dial sensitivity should be somewhere between 15 and 25.
Does this mean YOU have to go and adjust ALL the games and variants? (approx 500) NO! of course not!
It will take a couple of days.. we have to load/test every game affected by the recent MAME updates.
Once this is done, 2 revised packages will be distributed, 2.0 -> 2.1.1 and 2.1-> 2.1.1 (this one will be VERY small since it’s just updates to a whole ton of .cfg files)
Apologies everyone for the inconvenience.. we’ll demote our chief playtester, coffee wrangler, and koala bear wranglers. The play tester for this miss… the others for other ‘general quality control issues’ (list way too long to put here really)
Until then, game on dudes!
