Greetings programs!

Just a quick update on MyRetrozz activities as we get into the colder months…

1) Recently during a test session for a new MyRetrozz PC build.. we discovered that some of the MyRetrozz Minis don’t load the main menu properly. This appears to be due to some utilizing Attract Mode 2.6.1.. whereas Attract Mode 2.6.0 works fine.

Unable to determine exactly WHY this is.. tried checking whether it was C++ libraries etc.. to no avail.

The good news is the ‘fix’ is rather easy.. just replace the main ‘attract mode’ with 2.6.0 on affected systems.

This will take a few days unfortunately (probably until weekend) but only seems to affect a few systems, namely Pinball Mini for one.

Oddly.. it works on MOST systems.. but this was a brand new PC build with Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, latest updates (2022 patches) .. all the possible C++ libraries.

The symptom.. click ‘Pinball Mini.exe’ as an example.. and nothing happens. no screen..nothing. Nothing in error log either which is truly odd.

In any event.. we’ll fix it!

2) Future minis development

Due to real world activities and (paid) work not much time to work on dev.. but here are a couple items in progress:

1) TRS Mini – due to the great ‘dev hd crash of ’22’ this was on hiatus.. but we’ll get back to it during the colder months

2) Apple (all 8 bit?) Mini – similar.. some progress started.. but will be getting back at it during the cold(er) season

3) Sega Arcade Mini.. (Model 1, Model2, etc) – This was supposed to be a ‘quick’ project… but as usual featureitis comes in and it has to be awesome. Will probably start with this one again soon. Interestingly it was this one we were testing when the HD crashed. Thank goodness had a backup just one night before so minimal loss.

Optimally we’d like to see a setup where you can (relatively?) seamlessly play over the internet games like Sega GT/Scud Race (yes.. I probably spent enough in the arcade at the time to buy a real machine)

..and of course. ‘autoconfigure’ everything, at least from the video perspective and possibly others (hint: the solution will be to have code update the cfg files realtime

before or during the game as necessary)

These project alone should be enough to keep us busy throughout the winter months! That and a healthy addiction to Sniper Elite 5 and MSFS 2020 🙂

End of line.
