hope somebody can help
I’ve downloaded an Odroid xu4 image
which is 256gb in size and called
GO BIG OR GO HOME -LOADED – ELLIOT
ive purchased a 256 gb card direct from amazon which is a sandisc (not 3rd party seller)so I know its a genuine card and not a fake) infact I purchased 3 of the cards and the others have burnt fine but looking at the file size the other images are ever so slightly smaller in size
ive formatted it from exfat to fat32 by using easeus partition magic and also on my iMac by using the disc utility tool
and when I go to burn the image it says the card is around 28mb too small
I have had a simular thing with a 128gb Samsung card and also a 128gb my memory branded card (which is a reputable uk online outlet) in the past, when I was ripping a Samsung 128gb card and then burning the image back to an identical Samsung 128gb card
has anybody got a work around this or came across this problem
ps I am using balena etcher to burn the image
I also have win 32 disc imager on my pc laptop but the hdd the image is on is not recognised by the pc laptop as it Mac formatted
any help will be greatly appreciated
best regards Scott

To get it working you need a SAMSUNG 256GB because that is the exact card that was ripped from, you could try pi-Shrink script. Don’t think it will shave much off I think it tried pi-shrink.
Just get a 256gb Samsung card it works with my odroid xu4 perfect. with the Samsung card to make sure it is genuine it should have a white line around the sides and that is hard to copy so you know it authentic. fake copy’s don’t have the white line.
Check speeds of the card and try a SD card filler to see it fill up not a fake storage size card it you want to test it out that far.
