In order to use any PC version of coinops, I have to disable the preview videos. When I enable them, the first image of the first video shows, when I switch then to a different game, the whole UI freezes and I have to shut down the task.
I tried different CoinOps collections, it happens with everyone. "Sometimes" (1 out of 20 tries maybe) it works however. When I the close the program and restart it it freezes again.
My PC is fast enough (i5 4670, GTX 1070, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10 64 Bit), the video codes are installed (K-Lite Complete), I can play all preview videos in MPCHC without experiencing any problems.
I tried of course to reinstall DirectX, but it's no good. The VC2015 version which comes with CoinOps says, that a newer version is already installed and refuses to install.
The VC2015 versions installed on my system are: "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x64) v14.23.278200" and "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable (x86) v14.22.27821". There are also several VC2005 versions installed which came with various games.
I would of course assume that your software is not compatible with the newer version of VC if it was not for the fact that once in a while the videos DO play.
Is there any error log which may give me a clue what goes wrong?
