So, I apologize up front if this has been answered before. My search-fu must not be at the level it needs to be as I can’t seem to find the right answer or guide. I have the image in the title and would like to get it onto my Pi and working. Here are my details in case they are needed:

Raspberry Pi 4

Argon One M.2 case

WD Blue 2tb M.2 SSD

I have my Pi set to boot from the SSD and do not even have the sd card in the Pi. I currently have the latest Raspberry Pi OS and Retropie installed, but that sit. If I place the image in ther title on a thumb drive and place it into one of the USB 3.0 slots, ans reboot, will it be recoignized and subsequently installed? I’m just ignorant on what to do with tyhe image and how to get it onto the SSD so it loads and plays. Any help in pointing me in the right direction woujld be appreicated.

Again, I am sorry if this has been answered before. I am new to this segment of the Pi. My other experiance is with my home NAS and a Raspberry Pi 3. I appreciate any help.

Depending on size of SSD and if you have compatible drive and cable , you should check out the Wolfanoz 1tb Build or the new Venom one

Ninja, my SSD is internally mounted in my case and is connected to the Pi via a USB 3.0 via the dongle shown below. Can I loadup either of the ones you mentioned with a thumb drive plugged into the top USB 3.0 port?
