Just got a new Pi 4 2GB specifically for this build. Upon boot I get the message “start4.elf is not compatible – This board requires newer software.”
Looking here –
HELP! Error: start4.elf is not compatible – This board requires newer software. WTF?!?!? from RetroPie
– it appears newer Pi 4 boards need an updated base OS.
Unfortunately I have no older pi 4 board to use to update the OS as they are rather hard to come by these days.
Any chance of an update?
