Hi all,
First, of course, let me apologize for being such a newb.
I have the image from the title on a micro-sd card and it starts up fine in my Pi 4 with an IPAC Ultimate. Well, actually, I was having sound issues and tried the first ‘fix’ and then had a black screen, but I’m fixing that ( is that a normal thing to happen? )
My issue is controls. I have my first player working well – joystick, six buttons and the start and coin.
The program indicates it detects two controllers when it first comes on, so I tried to also configure my 2nd player ( same setup as above ). but it does strange things when I try to use the controls ( example, pushing left on the joystick also seems to push the ‘A’ button ). I have tried to reset the controls within ES again to see if I did something wrong, but same issues.
My understanding is that the IPAC itself has the ability to be configured through a dedicated program from the company – WINIPAC 2 I believe it is. I did notice when I first booted my image, there was a message that the IPAC was not configured.
Does that sound like I need to run the WINIPAC first before I do anything else for configuring controllers? I understand that you are suppose to plug your IPAC into your PC via USB to run this program, but is there any way of doing it directly from the Pi instead?
Thank you very much for reading and your kind responses!
