Hi,
I’m new to the forums but not to retro emulation. I have downloaded the latest version of BoredGameDad 256GB Batocera CLean which from the nfo is based on v33 of Batocera. I’ve verified the image, but cannot burn it to any 256GB SD Card that I own – I’ve tried 4 so far (Sandisk Pro, Extreme, Extreme Pro) and they are all complaining of not having enough space to burn the image. I’ve tried Etcher and Win32 Disk Imager but both error with the same message. Can anyone help – do I need to buy yet another 256GB card?
Thanks in advance,
PDJ

I fought the same issue, then gave up and burned it to a 512Gb and it worked fine. Even though the description says it should fit on a 256GB, it seems just slightly too large. I figured if I like the image, I’ll expand the roms folder and throw on more games.
My biggest issue with the image is I can’t get the second controller to configure. It recognizes it, but pressing and holding a button won’t enter into its configuration. It also doesn’t have trackball support.

Thanks for the info. I did see somewhere on the Arcade Punks facebook page that someone had resized it, but I’m not sure how they did that, so can’t try the same thing. maybe I’ll have to bite the 512GB bullet, shame as they are significantly more expensive than the 256GB. Would usually go for Sandisk Extreme Pro – any cheaper recommendations?

I’m late to the party here, but you can use GParted to resize the image.
Unfortunately, removing games doesn’t shrink the size of the image, as there is around 20GB of unused space anyway.
Here are some directions from the GParted website that should help: GParted — GParted – Moving Space Between Partitions
