Hi. Im completely new at this and I need a nudge to get started. I purchased a pi 3b+ off of Facebook sales for way more than I should have because it was already set up.
Since I have had it I found instructions on how to get started loading it from scratch and how to use a preconfigured image.
The image that came with the system was done by mad little pixel and is pretty good but it has no atari games and astroids does not work. I want to begin my learning process by adding images to a new sd card and trying them out to see what I like.
I learned that I need an image that works with the 3b and also that alot of the bigger images are just duplicates or games that don't work.
In your opinion what image should I start with? It doesn't matter the size as I will buy a card that fits it. The reason why I am asking is I don't want to pick one that is buggy or the controller s aren't set up and I start having problems and I end up thinking I did something wrong when I didn't.
We had our first family game night last night and my girls loved it!
I am also a kodi developer. I have my own fork , advanced wizard, builds and addon.
I am looking forward to learning this and being able to develop my own someday.
Thanks in advance.

Most imgâs immediately tell you a controller attached has not been configured, itâs a simple step by step routine. You can reconfigure at any time in the emulation station menu. Shop around for a suitable img, check your micro SD Card compatibility before purchasing and creating.
larger micro SDÂ cards = more content.
Not sure why youâve been told about repeated content, this applies more to Chinese imported retro consoles rather than raspberry pi user created imgâs.
If you have any other questions, Iâd be glad to help out.
