Hello all. I recently picked up a Raspberry Pi 3 B+ to build a home retro console. While I'm building my own system, I figured I would check out some prebuilds and get some ideas, and also get familiar with working on the Pi. That being said, I have a couple questions. Please forgive me if these questions have already been addressed elsewhere. So, upon first glance, this image, Damaso's Ultimate 32gb image revamped for the B+, is awesome. It has almost everything I want out of my build. It's a great little image for the gamer who loves simple menus without a whole lot of thrills. The couple issues I'm having with it though are frustrating. For one, it seems like the wi-fi on my Pi will not work while using this image. This may be some configuration changes I need to make, but again, I'm new to this, so any help would be great. The second issue I'm having is that I cannot get my PS4 Dualshock 4 controller to register over bluetooth. It does register as a controller when plugged in via USB, just not through bluetooth. I've watched a couple youtube videos, and it seems pretty simple to connect the DS4, but not for me. Again, any help would be awesome. Thanks guys, and I really dig all the builds you guys have been putting on here for people like me to check out. Keep on gaming, and hopefully soon I can share my build with you guys!!!

For your WiFi fix, you need to go to Retropie/Setup then RaspiConfig and then Localization to set your Country First, then WiFi will work
i haven't tried this IMG, but im guessing once Expaned your PS4 will contect, again in RaspiConfig you will see Expand
(Expand File) will see/use all the space on the card, and sometimes that's all it needs as not expanded has no space to save changes properly

Pretty sure this image is a no go for the b+. I tried both of those. Still no WiFi, and I was able to get the ps4 controller to connect for literally 5 seconds, then it disconnected and would not reconnect. Either way, Iâve downloaded a different image to play on while I build my own. Thanks for the help though. If anyone is ok with using an 8bitdo controller though, this image is set up out of the box to use that. Just donât expect much customization on the b+, including over clocking for playing those pesky n64 games!!

It is for the 3B+ (Plus), i will burn the img and give it a run this afternoon
You can OverClock the 3B+
Put the MicroSD into your PC and the only access you have is the "boot" partition
Under boot is Config.txt, Open that with WordPad or Notepad+ (NOT Windows Notepad) destroy's formatting
Edit the txt with these Setting:
Raspberry Pi 3 B Plus Settings BELOW
total_mem=1024
arm_freq=1500
gpu_freq=500
core_freq=500
sdram_freq=500
sdram_schmoo=0x02000020
over_voltage=6
sdram_over_voltage=2
v3d_freq=525
And Save, put the MicroSD back in the Pi and your OC, some ppl with good cooling have OC to 1550mhz (arm_freq=1550) and gpu can be a little upped

Quote from Jaz808 on June 19, 2018, 5:01 pmJmids, After you go to RasPi-Config then Localization, and you pick your Country, then you must REBOOT, before going to WiFi, otherwise you have to go back to Localization, pick your country and REBOOTÂ Â LoL
See Iâve tried this using Canada and USA as my country for wifi and it still wonât activate the wlan0…. and yes I rebooted

This fixed the wifi issues for me, so I thought I'd pass it on:
This is how to get wifi working on pi3 B+… Type these commands to get the wifi driver: (use https instead of h**ps obviously)
"wget h**ps://archive.raspberrypi.org/debian/pool/main/f/firmware-nonfree/firmware-brcm80211_20161130-3+rpt3_all.deb"& Then:
"sudo dpkg -i firmware-brcm80211_20161130-3+rpt3_all.deb"
"sudo reboot"
Make sure to set wifi contry in "sudo raspi-config"
May have to reboot again after that…
Thanks go to Robert Oliver for this solution, found in the comments here. Cheers.
