Hello, new to the channel and new to the Raspberry Pi4 as a whole. followed instructions i found on the site and have tried both Win32 and Etcher to flash the Demaso img onto a 256Gb Samsung SD card. all goes well with the flash but i cannot get the RP to boot. it stays in the boot screen .apologies i dont know how to post pics on this but the part that gets me is this text:

start4.elf is not compatible 0x0

and below that text i see this:

This board requires newer software
https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads

im not sure what to do from here, as i am very new to all this. any help greatly appreciated. many thanks in advance!

I’m actually using pi 3 for PSX because that’s all the power required, saving the Pi 4’s for what they do best, heavier emulation. Glad to know the 4gb’s are supported. Sorry to chase you around the forums a little, but I’m still searching for a link to the 256gb PSX image. It’s all I need to complete my retro project. (But proving very difficult to find.)

Any idea if this is still something that isn’t supported on the pi4 8gb model? Would this be something specific to the damaso images or all arcade images on the pi4 repository.

what i’m trying to figure out, who in the world urged people to get the 8gb version…?

typically whenever a new hardware revision is released, it will take some time for images to be compatible with it
