Hey Everyone. First of all best wishes for 2022!
Im pretty new to these RasberryPi imags and it might be a newbie question,
I recently downloaded “[256gb]-Nostalgia.Dreams.Reloaded.Rpi4-Damaso” via torrent, completed
the downloaded with no errors or anything.
But if I want to open this .img to check its content on my PC, like I normally do with other images with DEAON TOOLS,
it inidicates that the “disc might be corrupt”. Is this correct behaviour with (PI) images like this?
And not compatible when extracting this on a Windows machine?
So in other words I can only extract this on RasberryPi OS?
I used DEAMON Tools and WINCDE when i tried to mount the .img file.

You dont open it on your pc at all
if multi-archived first extract > https://www.arcadepunks.com/knowledge-base/extract-multi-rar-archive/
then write image to sd card > https://www.arcadepunks.com/knowledge-base/write-img-sd-card/
then boot and play , you can the ssh/ftp in to make changes etc if you so choose

Hi,
Thought I’d post here rather than make a new thread as my issue is similar.
Downloaded the Damaso Nostalgia Dream img from the link.
Bought a nice new Kingston Canvas 256gb MicroSD card (as I find them ultra-reliable)
Flashed via etcher (first on PC, then on Ubuntu Mate) and both attempts come up with the same exact error…
When I insert the card into the Pi4 and leave it to boot it shows the Nostalgia video, then Emulation Station loads up and gets through all 44 emu’s, but a few seconds after this stage says “done” I get a blue-screen with the following message…
Emulation Station Crashed!
If this is your first boot of RetroPie – make sure you are using the correct Image for your system.
Check your rom file/folder permissions and if running on a Raspberry Pi, make sure your gpu_split is set high enough and/or switch back to using carbon theme.
Flashed twice, image looks totally fine, any ideas?
