Help with 400GB_VIRTUALMAN!-PLAYBOX!_v4.4.5.3_RETRO-BLISS-TWEAK_PI3A-3B-3B+

When attempting to run the 400GB_VIRTUALMAN!-PLAYBOX!_v4.4.5.3_RETRO-BLISS-TWEAK_PI3A-3B-3B+ image on my 3A+, the intro plays and then I get the RetroPie logo which then fades to black and I can hear music playing, but there is no image on the TV. After a couple of minutes, the PlayBox screen appears with a pi@playbox:~ $ prompt.
I am unable to perform any actions on this screen as my keyboard controls are not registering.
Are there any configuration steps which need to be taken to ensure the image runs correctly?
