Hi all, thanks in advance. I work in IT but I’m a newbie when it comes to Raspberry PI and these images.

I downloaded the 300gb Epic Noir image. I an an extraction to combine the rar files and came away with no errors and a simgle .img file.
I used an etcher program to burn the img on a 500gb sd card. The validation phase failed but I was able to pull up card in disk utility so I thought I would give it a try.

When I tried booting a pi 4 to it (yes, using the right version), I get a kernel panic – not syncing error.

I tried reburning using etcher and the validation hung again. Same error when I tried to boot.

I don;t know why I would get no errors on extracting the rar but I’m assuming my image is no good. I’m going to try to download again.

If anybody has any advice here, happy to listen! Not sure what i’m doing wrong and these downloads are pretty big.
