I recently purchased the Asus ROG Arion M.2 NVMe SSD enclosure and a Crucial P5 1TB NVMe drive to put the 1TB image on. I linked the items in a previous thread here:
I ran into a new issue once I had imaged the 1TB image using Win32DiskImager. The Rasberry Pi 4 4GB boots to the following screen and then never boots the image:
Anyone have the same issues or any suggestions. I would rather not wait for a long time re imaging over and over as it is a 1TB image lol.

Yes I tried 3 different cables. I went and picked up a samsung evo M.2 NVMe literally 45 minutes ago it is currently loading the 1TB image now. I found that the Crucial P5 did not load even using a known good image I used before the P5 is a solid drive I have been running one in my PC for a while now. The Asus ROG Arion enclosure I believe is a solid piece and worked with a 256GB image on a Toshiba 500GB M.2 drive that I have. I guess if it hasn’t been tested then I could be the tester 🙂

The fix for me was to change firmware to “critical” version.
sudo rpi-eeprom-update -d -f /lib/firmware/raspberrypi/bootloader/critical/pieeprom-2020-09-03.bin
