G'day all,
I have been trying MLP's 32GB Swineapple image and it looks great with a fantastic variety of roms, however I am having some issues which I havn't been able to resolve or find answers for:
- I am getting a black screen which appears for about 1 – 2 seconds whilst scrolling in the console and game menus. It is intermittent but nonetheless annoying.
- Some control issues in some arcade games. Unable to get any horizontal movement in some games, After burner 1 & 2 and Arkanoid's. The USB controller I am using works fine in other games. I have tried resetting input through emulation station config. I am unable to access Retroarch controls folder for some reason, it gives me permissions error, so I am unable to delete or modify inputs config files there.
- Daphne games are not responding to controls at all. The games load(although strangely) but there is no response to input once loaded.
Any assistant or advice appreciated. Thanks

ok buddy
plug your pi into your network, reset it
then on your pc , go to retropie , configs, all, retroarch, autoconfig,
you will see a file there called usb gamepad   .cfg
or something like that
edit that file and add these 4 lines at the end….
input_l_y_minus_axis = "-1"
input_l_x_plus_axis = "+0"
input_l_y_plus_axis = "+1"
input_l_x_minus_axis = "-0"
now save the file, reboot then go into arcade, go to chase HQ , press select to insert coin, press start a couple times, hit B and speed off and then use your controller to go left and right , which you couldnt do before ?
Glad to help ?

The controller fix did the trick, but I so thanks muchly for your help.
With regards to the black screen issue, I I have resolved that too. After trying the HDMI boost option in the boot/config.txt file without success I changed HDMI cables and voila no issues to date. I guess the cheap shitty one that came with my Pi was the culprit.
