Hi,
sorry for maybe asking the obvious but I am a complete beginner so please bare with me.
Am I right thinking that the Motion Blue V6 Base image David Marti is basically a fully configured image without roms and that when I add roms thos will automatically be playable?
Could I just take roms from another image for that?
It would be awesome as there is so much stuff I will never play at all and so I could get the installation I want without having to dig too deep into it.
Thanks for helping.

Yes you are right, but not 100%
In a pre-built img, most if not all Configurations have been done, like the right emulator for the system/game, Retroarch is most likely set too for screen res, contoller, cfg files ect
Then there is the GameList with contains the paths and info for Meta Data and Artwork, after that you got Launching Screens,/Loading Screens, and Bezels
MBv6 does have more than enough to get you started, So drag n drop your roms, and if you open a Gamelist in Notepad++ you'll see the paths, names info, in there for your Artwork, and last thing, your might have to set a emulator or download one under Retropie Setup if you find a game not running
In short Yes it will work 99% no hassle, but no Artwork

Awesome, thanks for helping.
Oh and I have another question. I just downloaded hyperpie to use on my mac mini. There aren't any roms included and it says the roms need to be in hyperspin format or hyperspin ready. What exactly does this mean and will roms from retropie images work or do I have to download new roms in this format?

I love this image, but I wish I could configure the attract mode, does anyone know how to get to the regular configuration menu?? I just need to know how to change what kind of files the emulators will recognize. specifically, I want to just make my turbo cd play my .iso files like in my older motionblue configuration. this is so frustrating
