Retropie and Recalbox have both been updated to run correctly for the Pi3.B+ just recently.

A Retropie ‘Stretched’ (beta) version was available upto now for any new IMG’s created since the B+ release.

You can’t use ‘pre’ B+ IMG’s unless they are re-compiled using the new compatible retropie or recalbox software.
