I have tried updating retropie and attractmode on a few pi images to the latest versions and after updating it either boots incorrectly or not at all.  I can get into configuration and make it boot to emulationstation.  Sometimes if I choose shutdown in retropie menu it just loops me back to the same screen and won't shutdown.  When i update attract mode I cannot get back into attract mode and getting "non compatible attract.cfg file found, does not contain the menu identifier" at the command line.  Is it best to leave the images alone and not update?
