I'm looking at the latest VirtualMan (XII) 256Gb image. Like the one before it (XI), this image will not boot. The card image was written first by uNetbootin 6.6.1 and then by Rufus v3.3 without errors. I have tried two different 256gb cards (Patriot LX and SanDisk Ultra) on two different Pi 3B+ boards and the result was the same.

Kernel Panic – not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,2)

Thoughts?

Validated the card with write test and then flashed it again overnight (a 256Gb write doesn't happen quickly!). No errors writing.

Same kernel panic error this morning.

I am just about done downloading it and plan to put it on a San Disk Ultra 400GB. Anyone ever have luck with this image? Opinions on it?

Nevermind! XIII was just released. It looks good and there is a lot to it. I'll try it soon and let you know.
