I have been using this (th=1) 2TB Seagate USB HDD for a few weeks now. Not really fast at booting but works well haven’t noticed any issues.

Can confirm that the build is working with the combination of Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SSD and the Argon ONE M.2 Case with Raspberry Pi 4 (4GB).

Samsung Portable SSD T7, I am using 1tb version, works fine if you don’t plug too many USB devices consuming power during the boot process.
In my case it doesn’t boot if I add a gamepad, a keyboard and a mouse (bluetooth adapter only) in addition during the boot process. Removing just the mouse adapter during boot and it works like a charm. You can simply add the adapter later, if you need it.

I downloaded this a LONG time ago, and finally got to install it. Just wanted to add a RPI 8Gb with a Crucial MX500 1Tb ssd. Besides fighting with the bluetooth way too much before finding edits to make it work with my 8bitdo SN30 Pro (had to disable plugin in 2 startup files and muck with the bluetooth startup scripts)
But the disk has been great.
