Hi,
Thanks for this image ! Huge compilation of roms/wheels/videos/bezels !
If like me you need to get some free space there is some stuff to remove in /home/pi/ :
CS1.6 for 900Mb
Etcher for 300 Mb (you will probably not use it ? )
Starcraft for 1300 MB
Thanks again to Wolfanoz and Supreme Pro for their work !

Yes, great image. I’ve been changing it for supporting my 4:3 setup. One thing I’ve noticed with this build is that is a significant delay when you make a menu/game selection in ES. It takes about 20 seconds before the splashscreen shows and the game launches. It happens with all games. Is this normal? My Pi3/3B images I played with were much quicker and the one Pi4 image I played with did not have this delay either. Is this just a function of this image? Or is there a Pi setting??
Also I get a “lv10: VolumeControl::init() = Failed to find mixer elements” everytime I launch a game selection, and when I return to ES. Audio is working through the 3.5 Audio jack so this is more a nit, but any ideas what is causing it?
Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Looks like the slow load was just a one time issue. Works great now, so odd just a reboot and all good now.
Still can’t figure out the audio error message though. Have configured 3.5 in ES (PCM and SPEAKER), Retro-pi (Auto and 3.5), and Rasp-pi (3.5) settings. Still keeps coming up with the mixer error, despite sound playing correctly in ES and in the games.

Hi, sorry I have a question. I have updated my Pi4 so that I can start the images from USB. Using SD Copier and cloning the Raspberry OS on my SSD, the Pi4 starts from USB, but when I transfer the images here on USB with ImageWrite32 or with Raspberry Pi Imager, it gives me an error in startup. I believe .elf files etc. are missing. How can I boot this image from my SSD via USB?
PS: Sorry for my low level english, I’m using Google Translate!

Still a great pi 4 image !
Yeah, first boot takes a while. Not sure if I prefaced that or not but thanks brother. Also for those having issues with audio, switch your TV from bitstream to PCM audio and see if it helps other than changing audio from Auto to 3.5″ or HDMI. Not sure otherwise, it was fine on my TV but using PCM as well.

Hey, guys! This thing owns so much and I’m super glad I built it. Thanks to Wolfanoz for the awesome build.
However, my setup has sound issues with some Mame games and Atomiswave in particular – no matter what I do, there’s heavy(and J mean hellish) crackling. Other emulators so far don’t have this issue, adjusted latency, switched to HDMI instead of auto, PCM for source, etc. and no dice! The frame rate is good too, which is baffling.
I have the Raspberry Pi 4 with 4 GB, checked my power supply per other posts I found and it should measure up. It still owns playing SNES, NES, etc etc. but these Atomiswave games look hella cool. Is it just where the emulation is? Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any other solutions? Thanks!

I had to copy the files from a new rasbian install (from the fat32 partition) to this image, then I copied back the original cmdline.txt and configuration.txt file
Mine boots (splash screen, etc), but does not run retropie. I am going to reinstall the basic retropie and see what happens.

I also had to increase the 2nd image partition size (used gparted on a ubuntu laptop) so I could do a ‘sudo apt full-upgrade’ and upgrade raspbian. For some reason I had to reset the setting for the G2 – GL Fake KMS driver also. My sound works, but I can’t set the volume as I am getting the strange ‘failed to find mixer elements’ errors. I use the headphone jack.
So booting from a ssd is possible with a bit of work.
Note: on my pi4, the usb 3 ports do not seem to supply enough current to my ssd, but the usb ports do. Odd.

I also had to do this to get my SSD to work in the USB 3.0 ports:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=245931
It seems my case, or the WD drive itself is not following some standard.

I have tried downloading several times via .nzb file w/ newhosting and get error messages for a few of the rar files every time…is there any where else that might have a different .nzb file of this image?
Thanks

Sorry for the complete noob questions here, but I am struggling to get this image working at all. Is there a step by step guild for total noobs somewhere?
I downloaded the torrent for this image from the arcade punks site. It came as several smaller zipped files. I selected all of the files with 7-Zip and extracted them and it created an img file.
I then took my SanDisk 256GB Ultra micro sd card and formatted it to FAT32. I used Etcher to burn the image to the sd card.
When I put the card into my Pie4 4GB, I get the start the start up screen and the background music but then nothing else happens. Even after a 30. Knute wait.
I asked on the Supreme Team FB page and some suggested that Etcher wasn’t the best and to use Win32
I am going t try that in the morning, but did I do anything obviously wrong otherwise?
Thanks in advance

I have the 256 image installed to a new rp4/8gb. Works great, but no sound at all (HDMI) in emulationstation.
After applying the audio fix build in to the options panel, I get audio for the splash screen Wolfanoz intro, but no audio in emulationstation menus or games.
I have tried the various config options from Google searches (adding/ uncommenting the 3 common lines in the retropie config). I have the sound card set to system default, and HDMI.

Hi
I’m running this image on Picade with raspi4b+ and i have two issues i have no clue how to get rid of.
1) In intro video and menu’s the sound works as it should, when in-game, it’s choppy as hell.
2) when i press start in-game, instead of insterting the coin, the button toggles video recording.
anyone had these problems or could direct me in any way?
Thanks!
