Hello!
I recently downloaded the 512 Total Recal Wolfanoz image and fount that it would not fit on my 512 GB SD Card. The card was from microcenter and was showing 500gb of space once formatted to FAT32. The imaging software im using is etcher and the image size was showing up as 511.1GB there. But in the download folder the image size is showing as 475GB. Is the fact that the image wont fit a product of a shoddy sd card? Or is it a product of the imaging software “etcher”? Id really like to be able to get this image to fit on my 512 because a TB card would be overkill. Please let me know the best course of action!

I’ve been sticking with Samsung Evo select micro SD cards. I’ve found that after formatting there’s more space available than others. They also seem to work very well and have had no problems writing images.
I use Balena Etcher and it has no problems.
Now, you can’t put 512G on a 512 card, (I know you know this), but I’ve been able to put 500G images on. I do find it pretty bad that nothing is as big as it says it is. The whole binary and decimal thing……
