I downloaded the image: https://mega.nz/#F!UCRTyJJC!bk….. Â Â which is the 32G image from VLC on Mega.

It starts loading, and then after going through what looks like a lot of fast sentences of dos, then flashy RetroPie with several quick game pictures behind the retropie logo, it goes through more sentences of dos/linux and then gives me “illegal instruction” and the RetropieÂ image with some other data.Â Then it goes to a command prompt, and stops.

What do you suspect is wrong?

I am going to try the Retropie only suggestion you give next
