Quote from gadgetman805 on August 1, 2017, 6:15 amFor several years I was surrounded almost daily by the latest and greatest games of the day. And I got to play them all as much as I wanted!
…..
Recently I began converting arcade sticks with built in Raspberry Pi's to make an all in one unit that was easy to take and play. I'm still looking for the perfect, or as close as is possible, image to go along with my creations. …..
Firstly welcome to the site old dude, and heres a bow from all of us at Arcade Punks for actually LIVING THAT **bows**
Im an old fella too, but Im guessing your tapping out above me , because in the early 80s I was starting school ?
Im also guessing, that you are going to struggle to re-live that experience, whereby most of us was the odd few visits to the arcade, yours was living it, and even though I regularly at the Arcade Punks HQ surrounded by machines, WE HAVE SEEN THEM BEFORE, you hadnt, they were new tech and actually made people stop dead in their tracks…
Im sure you will love this we posted recently :-

I too am looking for 'the perfect image' and Im part of a small team of us who are working on a heavily modified release image, which we are creating specifically for arcade cabinets, I believe we are about to do something within the forums and form a collaboration of cab owners to create this said image (with one person focusing on one system etc….) – maybe its something you could devote a small piece of time too? I guess “watch this space” ?
Enjoy your time here, and genuinely welcome to Arcade Punks ?
