I have used Recalbox myself and I found it to be much easier than Retropie

or you could extract the roms from the retropie image you got and use them in Recalbox or Batocera

I've been looking into Recalbox and like the favourites option, something sorely lacking in Retropie, so I might actually give it a go assuming I can just copy of the romsets I've got running in Retropie currently.
