I used winrar on the first file only and told it to extract and it extracted fine but when I tried using 7zip I got the error. I loaded it onto my m.2 drive and put it in my main pc ands started up which loaded to batocera screen and just sat there forever (bios configuration needs tweeked) so I took it and put it into my little retro gaming console that I put together that I knew loaded batocera on the other m.2 perfectly and this one loaded up perfectly. So I would just drop it on your m.2 drive after it is unzipped using BalenaEtcher and check your bios settings like turning off secure boot and legacy support. I turned those 2 off on main pc and it just stayed on batocera so there is probably other things to tweek as well.
