Quote from Steve3135 on January 22, 2020, 1:13 amHey NinjaUK when I try to download odroid images. It comes up saying hotlinking isnt allowed please use arcadepunks.com to download, am I missing a crucial step? Any help be appreciated thanks!
You shouldnt really sabotage this thread for this but :-
OK , So the hot-linking error is when the site thinks you are coming from outside of the website, for example someone sharing on Facebook a direct link to the torrent or file instead of the actual article….
"BUT WAIT, Im on the website and still getting it?" – you cry….
If the download location cannot read your referral as arcadepunks.com it assumes you are from OFF SITE thus, hot linking (linking direct to the file instead of the article/story/post) – some anti-virus, browsers, spyware protection, routers and in some cases ISPs have "referrals automatically turned off"
In your browser there should be a setting to allow refers – with so many browsers, plugins, add-ons and malware/spyware programs, its impossible to say how to "whitelist arcadepunks.com" in every single one… For most people its a plugin they have running on chrome, for some its the type of browser they are using, in extreme cases its a shared internet connection with the refer being switched off in the router on public hotspots (breach much!)
So VISIT THIS WEBSITE and it should tell you , you came from arcadepunks.com (well it will actually say https://www.arcadepunks.com/ar…..is-broken/) , if not then you still haven't sorted your refers out…
Supply more info below , browsers, plugins etc and see if we can help ! – note to check if its not your browser then you could try opening your browser in incognito OR opening a different browser such as Microsoft edge (assuming that not your default!) – you can then decide if its your browser or something else causing the issue….
