Hi There,

I was wondering if or how to add other games to one of the Coin Op Packages. I have tried several versions of the packages and Each has their own things missing.

For an Example, I set up CoinOps Next, was great but missing Dragon Buster, an old mame favourite, I set up ConOps Ultimate, but it was missing Dragons Lair, the old Laser Disc Game and a must have, I tried CoinOps Diamond, It was missing something, I can’t remember now. and of course there are many Games from my PS1 2 and 3 collections plus XBOX360 I have discs for that I would like to load into the Coin Ops Package. Im sure there is a way to do it obviously, but how. Is there a Tutorial somewhere or are these builds locked by the creators?

Also, I have many many MK6 Slot Machine Roms and the MK6 Emulator, It would be great to add them to a build also, Is this possible and who would I speak to?

Thanks heaps in advance for your time.

OzDrDj

edit: I had, but can’t remember which CoinOps Pack had Dragons Lair and Space Ace already built in the Arcade Section, Can anyone tell me which one it was? TIA

just grab the space ace and other ones you wanted from an existing pack, grab the media (Artwork and such) add to the relevant folders as is and it should show in the relevant system (assuming the system is on the coinops pack you are using as base)

Found the games I wanted and added them to the Coin Ops Ulitmate Collection, All working great.
Tried adding My games, Started with Playstation 1, Founf the Right Directories, Added the Iso, Cover Art, Logo, and Video. Beautiful. So Easy.

Tried adding some Playstation 2 games, Next folder under Playstation 1, Added the same things, But, they’re not there. I suppose they use another emulator. I found another folder where some PS2 games were hiding, but a totally different folder structure. This could take a while.

Going to try a PS3 file next. To see if it works.

Well,

Adding Games to PS1 was Easy, Adding Games to PS2, was tricky, different folders, PS3, Not really sure.

I am guessing that a base,empty version of Coin Ops Collection would be the same as ps1 for adding everything.

As the Builds progress, People are adding different emulators thus the different directories.

Is there a Collections Build that is set up for all the machines, but completely empty that I can try builing everything onto myself?

Just one more thing, I would guess there is a config file in there somewhere that says what every machine in the collections folder uses to launch, some seem to be in the launchers folder, others I just don;t know?

Thank In Advance.

OzDrDj.

Well Well Well,

For those who are following, Taught myself how to add Games to PS1, Including Multiple Disc Games. If anyone wants a Tutorial let me know and I will make one for YouTube.

I guess PS2 Will be the same, Although It is in the Launchers Folder instead of the Collections Folder.

I can’t quite figuere out PS3 yet so If someone can point me to a tutorial, thanks.

Also, I would like to switch the PS1 Launcher from Swanstation or whatever it is on retroarch to DuckStation. If anyone knows how to do that please let me know also. Or its another 2 weeks of trial and error.

Thanks All,

OzDrDj

Hey Oz, did you ever get PS3 sorted?  I have tried a whole bunch of things to no avail.  One thing I can see is in the settings.conf file it lists the path as list.path = emulators\Rpcs3\dev_hdd0\game but in the RPCS3 directory for roms it has a game folder and a disc folder.  There are several roms in the disc folder.  Even if I change the path to list.path = emulators\Rpcs3\dev_hdd0\disc – it doesn’t bring in any different games.  Very strange behavior.  Anyway, thank you.

GDay Ahunteje,

Yep, worked out PS3 Games. Its Trickier than Ps1 and Ps2 but once you get it, easy as usual.

This is how I did it for Coin Ops Collections…

Firstly, Get your Game Disc (or Rom) and Copy it into a Directory Named by the Games Code Number eg My Portal 2 Disc is BLES01222

Get your Artwork together by going into Coinops Collection/Collections/Playstation 3/medium_artwork

in here you find a few folders. Video, Logo, Cover perhaps also Cabinets and Marquee, whatever. Jump into each directory see whats there, and make up artwork to match your game, saving in each directory under the same name (in my case here BLES01222.png or .jpg or .avi  whatever artwork you are making. Pretty Self Explanatory.

Now Go to Coinops Collections/emulators/Rpcs3

Add your GameDisc folder to dev_hdd0

Go to the Coinops Collections/emulators/Rpcs3/Bats

Right click on the first game bat file and edit it, where you see the disc File name, Change it to yours (BLES01222 in my example) and save the batch file as , you guessed it, the same name as your game (BLES01222.bat for Me)

Lastly go to the folder Coinops Collections/Meta/Hyperlist and edit file ps3.xml

Go to the bottom of the list, looking something like this

<game name=”BLES01909″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Wolfenstein The New Order</description>
</game>

<game name=”BLJM61211″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Resident Evil Remastered</description>
</game>

</menu>

Copy and paste a record from game name to game and add it to the end of the list like this

<game name=”BLES01909″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Wolfenstein The New Order</description>
</game>

<game name=”BLJM61211″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Resident Evil Remastered</description>
</game>

<game name=”BLJM61211″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Resident Evil Remastered</description>
</game>

</menu>

Then Change the last record to add your game, Adding this data puts the game in the right order in your list.

<game name=”BLES01909″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Wolfenstein The New Order</description>
</game>

<game name=”BLJM61211″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Resident Evil Remastered</description>
</game>

<game name=”BLES01222″ index=”true” image=”‘”>
<description>Portal 2</description>
</game>

</menu>

 Then save that xml file and you are done.

Hope that all makes sense.

Cheers
