Hey Guys, I am a noob on this thing and I am having problems with it the Retrorama Rampage V2 Image. I downloaded it, created the image but my raspberry pi won't boot. I get a couple of errors on the screen.
*Timed out waiting for device dev -serial1.device
*Timed out waiting for device dev-disk-byx2dpartuuid-f2d3cb4f-01
*Dependency failed for /boot
*Dependency failed for local file system
*Dependency failed for file system check on /dev/disk/by-partuuid/f2d3cb4-01
And at the end it gets stuck on:
You are on emergency mode. After logging in type "journalctl -xb" to view
system logs, "systemctl reboot, "systemctl default" or ^D to try again to boot on default mode
Give root password for maintenance .9% complete)

Any ideas what the problem is?
I tried a different microSD card (new) and nothing.
Also, what are the differences between the Torrent and the NZB links?

I seem to be having the exact same problem except mine states "Give Root password for Maintenance .3%"Â otherwise it's pretty much identical.
I was able to get the Torrent fully downloaded yesterday and the SD imaged yesterday if the time frame helps.
I am using a Raspberry Pi Model 3 B
I am using Win32disk imager to image the SD
I have a 128GB SDXC card
It's asking for the root password to perform maintenance. Would it be possible to logon and potentially fsck or correct the damaged portion? I can't seem to restart into default mode as I don't have the root password. (Bearing in mind I am a complete noob to Pi's, this may sound like a silly question)
Thanks for any info!

Update:
I restarted once or twice and it actually fully booted. Â My issue now is that After configuring my controller, Â every game I select starts to load, and then closes out to the respective emulator menu.
This also occurs when trying to access the RASPI Config or any of the utilities. Â Â It occurs with all Emulators. Â I can see text in the background during this process but it closes so quickly I cant seem to read any errors. Â Basically just starts to load, I see text in the background and the it reverts back.
After really staring at it, it looks like it is generating an "Exec Format Error" then closes to MEnu/GUI
Is there any troubleshooting steps you guys can think of? Â Thanks again!

hi, im a third noob who has this problem, exactly the same I just get scrolling text and a return to the menu on any rom or setting selection.
I ctrl D the password request to continues as it suggests after the usual "raspberry" password didn't work,
I feel like whatever it was trying to do at this stage was integral and by bypassing it may not have finished expanding files or setting up properly. either that or it needs some roms deleting to make space on my card. but I have no way of accessing the files currently as I cant get wireless config setup.
its maddening

Not sure as I am new, but I believe it's a preshrunk image, so you need to give the image time to auto-expand to the disk/SD Card on the first boot (2-4 minutes). After adding image to SD Card insert into Pi and start and wait 2-4 minutes (screen may be blank/black), then reboot system and it should load.
