i am building a cool bartop arcade here, and bought nice LED buttons and joystick, and i want o use pacdrive to drive the LEDs, but i have run into a problem, i have been looking thru the net to find anyone that has done this before, i have found this https://gist.github.com/saveth…..363d5f03c1
but then i would need to do dat per game, and having a 128gig installation its alot of games, so anyone done this before or have better web crawling skills then me that have found anything with the pacdrive + retropie + systems not games configurations

Offline i'm going to do the same thing, in order to light up only the button used in the game.
I found the same project you linked and i think i will use this for base, but i have a huge number of roms and i'm afraid you are right: it's impossible to create and configure a single dat file for each rom!
I am thinking to edit a dat file for each consolle instead of one for each rom: usually every game of nes uses 2 buttons, megadrive 3, and so on…for mame roms it's better to use single dat file per rom.
What do you think? i already don't know how to do that ?
Did you find anything else that could help us?
