What a delightful compilation this image is. 
Works great. I am so happy to use this great image on my steam deck. Thank you again to Ninja and the people that bought it. 

Two questions. 

1. 

Some games does not start. Cuphead on Nintendo Switch for example. Is there an easy way to troubleshoot an already built/burned image? 

2. 

If I would like to add for example Mario Galaxy to Nintendo Wii. Is that possible? I would of course remove some games to make space. 

As Nina said above, it is important to use WIN32 DISK IMAGER to send the image to the sd-card. 

I have burned the image three times to my 1 TB SanDisk Extreme Pro. All but the last one was a success. 

Here is my story. 

DL of the torrent went great. 

Writing of the image try one ns two was just partly a success. And here is why – I guess. 

First try. Extracted with old version of 7-zip. Used Balena Etcher to write. Just some of the games started. Meny was working great. 😀 

2nd try. DL the torrent again, thought that was the problem. But the two images were identical… Burned with WIN32 DISK IMAGER. A lot more games worked, but still a lot did not. 

Before that, I also tried Rufus write the image. Did not understand how to make it write… 😀  

3rd try. Extracted with Winrar since I by now read the instructions when the info went public on the site. Could not compare with the previously DL image since I was running out of storage, so I deleted the “old” images before extracting again with Winrar. 

Wrote with WIN32 DISK IMAGER and added the the option “Read only allocated partitions”. I don’t know if that made a difference, but it worked and the image WORKS JUST GREAT. Most games I have tried works. Most Wii games fail to recognise any buttons and sticks, but that might just be a config issue within Batocera? I will look into that. 

Conclusions form an amateur that spent many hours working on making this image work excellent: 

Let the computer do its thing when extracting the image file. Extracting the rar-file takes maaaany hours. Let your computer focus on that and nothing else. 

Writing the images takes maaany hours. Make sure your computer does not go to sleep if not interaction is done. 

As a good user, I will UL the torrent file for 30 days. UL so far, 1.32 TB.

Has anyone updated Batocera to the suggested beta version 36, 2023 02 26? 

  

Update done. Games I have played before looks to work with update v 36 beta 2023 02 26. Have only tried a few though. 

Wii games. I still can not start any game. “start” or “A” can not be press with any button or combination. Any clue in a solution? 

How did you update?  I attempted to but it bricked the SD card (just booted to a screen with a date and time).  I formatted the card and reburned the image and want to update – can you share some steps?

In GUI-mode. Choose Main Menu. 

Choose Updates & Downloads, 

Choose Update type, Beta. (Or Stable if you really want to play it safe). 
Choose Start Update. 
Wait, 
Shut down. Dont restart. 
Hold Vol down and start button to go to bios

Choose sd-card. 
Done. 

That is what I did. Now with two updates. Works great.
