So I downloaded the img file via Usenet. I purchased the recommended Microsd Card directly from the link on ArcadePunks. I used WinRar as recommended and the diskimager. However when I try to boot via the micro SD no SD card is seen. When I go into SteamOs it does not show a Micro SD card. However I can access it via Desktop mode. If I format the card via Steamdeck it now sees the card (but now blank). When I went to re-image it still is not recognized as having a MicroSD card in the boot menu.

I have a similar problem. I downloaded and installed the 1tb Batocera Steamdeck image but unfortunately it does not boot on my Steam Deck. When I select the microSD card from the EFI boot menu the text “booting Batocera…” pops up for a second (90 degrees rotated) and then the screen goes black forever and nothing happens. I installed everything according to the instructions and I am using exactly the SanDisk 1TB microSD card model that was recommended. rnI tried the same microSD card now on a friend’s Steam Deck and it booted Batocera without a problem and everything was running fine.rnMy Steam deck is brand new – I wonder if there is any hardware compatibility issue? Both steam decks had the latest software update.rnAny help or idea how to fix this would be highly appreciated.
